UPCOMING GLIRC EVENTS
Each year the Greater Long Island Running Club offers a scholarship of $2000 to be awarded to one or more graduating Nassau or Suffolk County High School seniors, in memory of long-time Club member Herb Grayson. Winners are chosen on the basis of involvement in and service to the Long Island running community
Join us for a special training program for runners of all ages and abilities, conducted under the auspices of the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation & Museums and the Greater Long Island Running Club.
Awards will be presented at the GLIRC Awards Night on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library Auditorium.
The Greater Long Island Running Club will be awarding one or more grants
in the amount of $5000 to a selected high school track & field/cross country
program or programs. Any high school in either Nassau or Suffolk County is
eligible to be awarded a grant.
