This course consists of a variety of trail conditions to enjoy and challenge you. From single-track to fire trails, sandy sections to hidden ponds and all through some of the most pristine and protected woodlands in Suffolk County. Come run beautiful Brookhaven State Park.

Rob’s Run is a cross country run, not a road race. Surfaces on the grass and cross country trails may be uneven.

Team CASH Awards - $200 per team stipend for the first place Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Masters & Women’s Masters Teams. NOTE: Only USATF-LI member teams are eligible for Team Cash Awards! All team members must be registered on the same USATF-LI team. All Team Awards will be computed on the basis of “cross country scoring,” i.e. by place.

Parking at Field 4. Arrive before 8am to avoid the parking fee.
Run as many or as few loops as you'd like. Scenic 2.1 mile loop with several rolling hills and one bridge crossing primarily on dirt paths. Runners will be switched to a 1/2 mile loop for the last laps to facilitate scoring.

The course is USATF Certified and Sanctioned,fast, mostly flat, picturesque, wooded trails, only 2/10 mile paved. Splits,water stops, road apples, uneven terrain.
Our 10K Run is part of the Long Island Track and Field Cross Country Series. If you are a Cross Country runner and are looking for a very competitive / fun race to help your training program we recommend you try our race.

A challenging but fair course on the northern portion of the scenic Long Island Greenbelt Trail, with plentiful, well stocked aid stations, starting and ending at the GLIRC Clubhouse in Plainview.

50K: $55 thru May 2 (GLIRC members $50)
$60 from May 3 thru May 6: $70 day of race
25K: $50 thru May 2 (GLIRC members $45)
$55 from May 3 thru May 6; $60 day of race

Train pickup will be available at the Hicksville Train Station. More information will be included in race day information emailed to registrants.
Please note we have an 8 ½ hour cut off for the 50K, the first loop must be completed by 11:30AM.
AWARDS: Special quality commemorative shirts for every entrant (including day of race entrants);
Awards in both races to 1st male and female OAand 1st M & F in the 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ age groups.
Johnny Kenul Memorial Award to the first finisher in the 50K who is age 60 or over.
Special awards will be presented at the June GLIRC meeting to the first male and first female GLIRC member in the 50K.
