The Greater Long Island Running Club and the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation & Museums cordially invite you to join us for a special ten week training programWant to train for a successful Ho Ho Ho Holiday 5K Run in Bethpage on December 16th?  More ambitious and want to get ready for the Icebreaker Marathon or Half Marathon on January 28th?  The structured but flexible Run Steady Training Program is perfect for you! The total cost of the entire 10 week program is $35! Each session will get started promptly at 8:30 AM. The first session will be held on Sunday, October 1st, at Cedar Creek Park.  Here’s the full schedule:

Saturday, October 7 - Eisenhower Park

Sunday, October 15 - Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Saturday, October 21 - Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Saturday, November 4 - Cedar Creek

Saturday, November 11 - Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Sunday, November 19 - Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Saturday, November 25 - Eisenhower Park

Saturday, December 2 - Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Saturday, December 9 - Eisenhower Park

 This is a great opportunity to learn proper stretching and warmup drills, how to increase your mileage and endurance, how to avoid injuries, and much more.  Our trained and certified coaches will work with you!

We’ve put together a training program for beginners who want to get started running and training properly.

Under the guidance of our experienced running coaches you will be taken through a progressive 10 week program culminating with participation in the Farmingdale Main Street Mile on Saturday, Sept. 2nd.

Sayville Running Company Run to the Brewery Training Run

This 5 mile run finishes at Five Points Cafe located a few doors down from the Running Company at 1 Main Street, Sayville. Five points will provide one free Blue Point Beer to every runner who participates in this training run. Spend some time and enjoy another beer and post run snacks, plus raffles, prizes, and product samples from SRC and Brooks.
