NEW THIS WINTER!!!! LINCOLN’S BIRTHDAY INTERNATIONAL MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON Thursday, February 12, 2015 Eisenhower Park 9:00 AM Yes, we know it is a Thursday morning, and that many folks work on Thursdays, but Lincoln’s Birthday is a Holiday, so many people won’t be working and, hey, running a marathon or half marathon is a great excuse for those of you who are scheduled to work to take the day off! The event will be held over an accurately measured 5.275 kilometer USA Track & Field Certified course (4 loops for the half marathon, 8 loops for the full marathon) with an aid station at the end of every loop. No T shirts, no chip timing, no frills (except that every finisher will get a medal)..... but a chance to get a nice distance run in with your friends for a fee of only $15!!! To make it even more interesting, we expect – without exaggeration!!! --to have athletes from all over the world participating with us. (Call us for an explanation). This would be a nice training run for those doing Caumsett or Boston or whatever. Online registration will open on November 1st; hard copy entry forms will also be available then.
